This is a brilliant accessory to have for your gamecube - especially if you have a portable screen.
The only downside is the time it takes to charge but in terms of convenience, it is great and I have found it to be useful on many occasions.

The Logic 3 battery pack is a typical piece of rechargable hardware for the gamecube. Its charging time is 12 hours for a limited time of 2 hours portable play (depending on what type of screen) you have. There are better ones out there, which take less time to charge and cost less as well, however what impressed me the most of this item was its firm connection to the gamecube using thumbwheel tecnology, and its light up display to show how much power is left.
