I bought this for my boyfriends christmas stocking present and he loved it!
It came in very hand when during the summer we got a plague of flies in our house, everyday we were killing up to 20 each! As has been said in a previous review it does have a tendency to only stun larger flies so i then try to pick them up and fry them on the wires to ensure they aren't going to wake up again. You could also use a paper or large book to squish them once they have been stunned which is much easier ...

"Having used it for a week or two I am very happy with the performance, it really sparks and makes a great cracking sound which I wasn't prepared for!! although the big fly's have to be zapped more than once the smaller ones are goners straight away.I would certainly recommend it to others"

Contrary to the 1 star reviewers, I found this to be infinitely better than a cheaper than one of the cheaper varieties sold. I have just annihilated 2 flies which went out with a bang and a flash. Very satisfying and very good build quality.

This is the fourth different make of zapper I've bought and it certainly outperforms and outlasts all of the others. Two of them suffered cracked frames, and all of the other makes were difficult to use because of outer safety mesh. I bought The Executioner in the summer 0f 2007 and it is still going strong and performing well on the original batteries a year later. And it has certainly killed many flies, moths, midges and other flying nasties. Highly recommended.

We have had it for a couple of weeks using the batteries supplied. Although it will consistently knock a fly out that fly will be up and flying within 3 seconds. So if you don't mind finishing the job off within that window of opportunity this is probably for you. Otherwise it is doing half the job.
