Well it works, but.... Every time I go around a corner it rotates around the cigarette lighter socket, it's only point of contact with the car and flings the iphone against the gear stick or the floor. I now have an unsightly piece of string holding it in place. There must be better somewhere!!! ALso a bit of a pain that you have to plug in the power socket at the bottom and the audio jack at the top. Surely they could have done it all with one socket. I purchased this item a few weeks ago for use with an iPhone, and accepted that as it was relatively cheap the quality may not be top-notch!
Recieved the item in good time, and initially it worked excellently, for both transmitting my iPod tracks through the radio, and also for a hands-free device for the iPhone.

I bought this to use in the car with my iPhone 3G. I wanted to try playing my music over the car radio (no aux input available). I've read loads of reviews about FM transmitters for iPods etc and expected very little from this product as a result. Having read the previous reviews I decided that it was worth a risk for the money in purchasing this item...and in the main I am very happy. The 3G iPhone had a bit of an iffy battery to start with and this did the business,now, along with the recent apple software upgrade things are much better once I charge it in the car.
