Rating: - seen it done much better before
I like the story, a lot. However this american version was pretty poor, I couldn't connect with Alba's character and she annoyed me!I much prefered the Japanese version which genuinely scared me. This was just so predictable, there was nothing in it which made it individual from the original version, it was just an American rip off.Don't bother with this, watch proper horror with the Japanese original and scare yourself that way.

Rating: - Average remake of a Japanese horror classic

The Eye isn't actually that bad in terms of acting and visual beauty- the only reason why I knocked off 2 stars is because it just isn't scary. In my opinion, horror films should be -at least- a little bit scary. Rating: - Enjoyable horror - just the right mix!
To date, the scariest film I've seen is THE RING - it's chilling and compelling and there's something about the horror of it that stays with you for days after you've seen it. Rating: - Yet another Japanese re-make, it's time Hollywood started to think up its own ideas
The main problem with this film is that it has a very 'seen it all before' feel to it. The film has plenty of genuinely scary imagery and the strange apparitions Jessica Alba's character starts seeing with her new eyes provide some very haunting scenes.
