Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - OK Standard Webcam
This was my first webcam as I needed to communicate with friends abroad.
The webcam is really easy to set up (plug & play), and from the description works well with both Skype and MSN Messenger.

Unfortunately, the sound (mic) is terrible with MSN Messenger, my friends can barely hear me but it works OK with Skype so my friends and I ended up switching to Skype.

My friend got a Logitech webcam and it's much better (Video quality & sound)

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Do not buy!!
I purchased this camera to use for telephone conversations on Skype. The picture quality is fine but the microphone is absolutely useless, you cannot hear anything at all. Because of this I had to spend more money on a microphone. Do not buy this webcam if you want to use it for more than visual purposes. If you want a cheap webcam with ok picture quality then this is the camera for you.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - good little cam
Have had this cam a couple of days now I've never really used one much in the past but it is simple to set up and use, only difficulty I am finding is the mic, I have vista which I think is the problem, I can hear sound when played back from a recording but it is very faint, if mic is held close to your mouth it seems to meet the set up requirements in windows etc but then the cam will be looking down your throat when in use, I have messed around with settings in the control panel but haven't found ... Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Good picture, but mic pathetic
I recently bought this webcam. Set-up etc. reasonably straightforward, though lead is a bit too short to allow me to connect to the mic jackplug on the pc (on the floor by the side of my desk) and place the camera on top of the monitor. But as it happens this doesn't matter, as although the picture quality is pretty good, the mic is virtually useless and I have had to resort to a seperate mic. If I hadn't owned one, I would have returned the webcam. There is also quite a delay in the synchronisation ... Read More

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - the worst webcam ever
THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I WRITE A REVIEW-i have a acer aspire 7720G laptop and i got this webcam for my old laptop. the quality is very poor in comparison even with the integrated crystal eye acer one. i tried it in both laptops with xp and vista and its exacly the same... it remainded me the first msn webcams...i am in the process of returning it.
