Rating: - An excellent closing for a major carreer
This will, most likely, be the last live performance of Genesis ever to be seen. In what concerns contents, a large part of it was a re-run of the Wembley performance, musicians line-up included. But the show itself was awsome. Some of the best visual effects (the 3rd disk shows how complex they were to achieve), fantastic stage, half a million people, state of the art camera shoots.

I have to say I was quite irritated with this dvd when I first put it on. There are FAR too many long shots! I had plenty of long shots when I went to see them in Brussels, thank you very much. I know, I know, there is a great light and visual show going on and this has to be on the disc as well, but they didn't have to be so numerous. I actually bought the 'Genesis in London' disc from 1980 at the same time as I bought this and I actually prefer it - you get to see the band! Granted, expectations ... Read More

I saw this concert orginally on the BBC, and have to say it was amazing. I agree that with Gabriel it may have been 6 stars, but if you see the build up you'll understand that's a whole different 'Lamb lies down on Broadway' project. I saw Genesis on some of their earlier tours like Invisible Touch, and to hear this, you would never have thought they had been away. I finally bought this because I saw the concert and waiting for a blu-ray edition is apparently waiting for nothing and indeed it is waiting for nothing.The dvd reflects completely the show I saw being : dull, boring,musicians who do the job because they have to , and mind you I was a super-genesis-fan. It hurts me to say that I found more musical connection with a copy group ( The musical box ). I was at the Manchester show & I was hoping just like the CD that the DVD may have had some of the other concerts on not just Rome, like Phil Collins own stuff I went to see him in Manchester & he does a recording of the show in Paris? Whats wrong with us lot in the UK, apart from the opening shots & a couple more panning around the audience you could hardly tell it was in Rome!
