This is one for the boy's...the action sequences, chase scenes and fight scenes between inmates all make for a typical lad's film.
Being a girl, I really enjoyed this film - Cage and Malkovich are a great pair and Cusack is very entertaining in his role.
The film is well cut and the after effects for the time - particularly in the final sequence are impressive!
The action is never-ending and the fight isn't over til the very end.
Overall, a highly recommended film.

Generally I'm not a fan of Hollywood blockbuster action movies. These days they mostly rely on CGI effects, have no characterisation and really are only worth seeing once. Con Air is the exception to that rule. I must have watched this film 7 or 8 times in the first five years after it came out.

Action all the way and good special effects cover an otherwise dodgy storyline.
It is what it is, guns blazing action film not to be taken too seriously.

In this movie, the director tries to demonstrate that although someone may have a bad past that does not represent who he or she is. West shows this when Cage, an ex con, helps a friend who is sick and tries to stop other prisoners from escaping, when he does not have to.
This film was near perfect. Well near perfect except for the cheesy ending which was typically commercial Hollywood. Malkovich is a very chilling villain and invariably steals the show from Cage..

Thisis a fast moving filmwith a group of criminals transferred by air in a very secure plane untill Malcovich who plays a real nut gets going. The plot is a bit see through but is good.I was torn between giving it 1 or 4 stars but settled on 3 for the film is generally good in all parts EXCEPT Cages GRATEING ACCENT which is so false to be annoying.
