Rating: - Corel X3 - No-brainer
I know that nothing will persuade die-hard Adobe Illustrator / Photoshop supporters to abandon their favorite software, but when you see what you get for £100 with Corel X3, when compared to about £1000 for the Adobe equivalent, the case is made, at least for me. I have to spend my own money when I buy software software.

Rating: - now CorelDraw X3 - it just gets better
I have used Corel since CorelDraw 3 (the first really useable version despite the frequent crashes), and have upgraded through CorelDraw 5, 7, 9, 11 and now use X3. I have used other drawing software including Serif and Adobe Illustrator, but for a PC drawing vector drawing package there is no real rival for usability and versatility.

The accompanying Corel Photo-Paint is excellent for photo editing - I use it in preference to Adobe Photoshop CS2, although occasionally use Photoshop ... Read More

Rating: - doesn't export to web formats well
Try making a button for a web page and exporting it using Coreldraw X3. It's a very frustrating process. The background that should be transparent isn't and neither is the circle shape of the button round. Useless. Does other things well enough but certainly has serious flaws with regard to web graphics. I wonder if I could have bought something better.
Also the Corel website does not allow an open forum for purchasers. Draw your own conclusioms.
