Rating: - I love my egg!
If I had to pick a nursery product that I couldn't do without, it would be this one. I have never had any problems with the temperature reading, it is always accurate. Can only assume the people who've experienced problems have eggs that maybe had a manufacturing fault.

Rating: - Works for us!!
We purchased this item a week ago and have found it to be extremely accurate (It correlates with readings from two other thermometers).

The colour coded output is also very handy as you only need to glance into babys room to check that the room temperature is OK.

I understand that the latest Grobag Eggs have a relocated temperature sensor (moved from top of connector to rear of connector) which reduces incidence of false temperature readings - maybe its just the older units ... Read More

Rating: - Served us well for years
We have had an egg for a couple of years now. Our daughters bedroom is subject to extreme temp changes and we needed to be able to see what the temperature was in the dark. The egg seemed to be the perfect solution, and it has been. It has a lovely glow as a night light, and it has always been accurate enough to warn us when we need to open her windows (summer time!) or put extra blankets over her (sometimes her room becomes so cold that we have to put the heating on in the middle of the night!).

Rating: - Apparently it's always hot!
Well, like the others I find this to read ridiculously hot. When we have another thermometer (which is also inaccurate reading too high, that's why we replaced it with this!) reading 23.5 and the heating thermostat set at 19 the egg continues to warn us it's 24.9 degrees in here. This is positively dangerous, I bought this product because I am disabled in a way that I can't tell my own body temperature and need to rely on a thermometer, I could die from hypothermia if I trusted this thing. Rating: - Useless!!! Don't buy....
Save your money and buy a basic nursery type thermometer for a few pounds. We bought this one and a basic nursery one from Mothercare and we have built in thermometer on our alarm clock. The Grobag one is always hotter by at least 3c and I will be returning it to the manufacturers. Like other reviewers it sits on a bedside table out of direct sunlight etc and is incorrect.
