Forget FIFA, forget PES, forget anything else. As far as playablility and addictiveness goes this beats them hands down. As a two-player game it is faultless - fun and fast. The only let down is the fact that the save game function isn't up to scratch (it fails to save the game when you switch off). Awesome stuff.

'Brilliant!' I thought when first I saw this.
Sadly my intitial enthusiasm was dampened somewhat when I spotted the Megadrive controllers and screenshots.
For me, Sensible Soccer will always be the single-button joystick, Commodore Amiga classic. The Megadrive version loses much of the original's elegance amid awkward diagonal runs with the d-pad and ill-advised attempts to jazz up the presentation.

Sensible soccer is probably one of the best examples of pick up and play games. The controls are simplistic yet the game play is deep. Compared to current and next gen games, Sensible Soccer is very basic but sooooo much fun. The pace is fast and the ability to use "after-touch" to curl the ball is outstanding.

Like said in another review you get two other great games, but I was disapointed to see that Cannon Fodder did not ...

At long last, the king of all footie games is back to reclaim it's crown from the fancy pants and complexities of the likes of FIFA and Pro Evolution Soccer. This simple but perfect football game had everyone playing in the late eighties and early nineties, yet surprisingly has still lost none of it's great gameplay.
As if Sensible Soccer wasn't enough, you also get 2 further cracking bonus titles in Cannon Fodded and Mega-Lo-Mania.
Another genius move is the inclusion of 2 controllers ...
