These three episodes varied quite a bit in quality, or at least they did in my opinion.

"The Recruit" was one of my all-time favourites. Mainwaring goes to hospital with a severe case of ingrown toenails, and while he's away, the Vicar and the Verger decide to join the Home Guard, prompted to do so by the rush of clergymen signing up with their Local Defence Volunteer groups all over the country.
