Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Something special!
This film has become a family "heirloom", first being shown to my little daughter and latterly to all the grown up kids too. Now being passed on through friends alike! One of the few real "feel good" movies, with an innocence and simplicity and particularly for those who love horses. A touching storyline, brilliantly acted by all, and beautifully filmed. It contains everything a good film should have, humour, sadness, excitement, drama and a good dousing of magic! Definitely one for keeping ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - One of my favourite films
Fantastic. I agree with all positive reviews of this magical , gritty original moving film.
All family enjoyed it and tears flowed at poignant moment...watch it, love it
In fact loved it so much I bought it for my bet loved film collection.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Well I am a cliched Irish woman and I loved this film
As a repost to the cynical reviewer who decried the so called cliched Irish stereotypes in the film, I did not see anything like that in this magical and unusual film. It was a wonderful, strange mixture of gritty realism and magic, beautiful(the grey stallion was actually Spanish) horses and Ireland. Sad to be so jaded with life not to enjoy a couple of hours of joyous escapism.....

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - wonderful magical and moving
This film makes you laugh and cry, it starts with two young boys surviving in a hard bleak world with their alcholic father and moves on to be an incredible adventure story as the boys become fugitives on the run across Ireland. Through this adventure the characters find what was missing in there lives. It also has one of the most touching magical endings. Well worth buying. And fantastic for adults and children alike.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Gaelic folklore perfectly blended with gritty modern realism
This is a brilliant film, the story of a white stallion who befriends two irish boys. Tinkers and travellers, Dublin and piebalds, humour and sorrow. Gritty modern realism perfectly blended with Gaelic folklore and the story of TÍR na nÓG.
