My son was 12 months old when I decided that I needed help getting him to sleep on his own. I didn't know which direction to take; should I leave him to cry? Should I pick up until he's stopped crying? I purchased this book and followed the instructions to get my son to sleep on his own. Yes it was hard, but I knew I had to do it. Gina is thorough and is NOT AT all heartless at the advice that ... Read More

This book provides a detailed step by step guide to understanding sleep and babies. It may seem obvious that the two go hand in hand but in my experience as a mother, sleep (or lack of sleep) is the key issue in being able to function effectively and being able to deal with all the day to day issues thrown at you by the little darlings. The book is divided, chapter by chapter on an age-related basis from birth to 3 years. The opening chapter gives a useful introduction to sleep and an overview of aspects ... Read More
