I had not heard of this book till a few months ago. Then a friend recommended it to me. Thought it sounded like an intriguing idea, so I nipped out to the bookshop to pick myself up a copy. Simply, could not put the book down till I had finished it. It just drew me in from start to finish. Absolutely loved it. It was laugh out loud funny, (I had to try not to laugh too much on the bus) at times it also made me cringe when Danny was in certain situations. I was sitting there reading and thinking please ...

One of my favourite books of all time, I'm dumbfounded, to say the least, at the 6 people who have rated it one star. I read it in a single day and have since re-read it about 6 times, one of the funniest books I have ever read.
It really is a shame that whoever adapted it for screen didn't do it justice.
Buy the book and I promise you that you won't regret it.

did I enjoy this book?............YES!!!!!
I recommend this book to everyone dead or alive - it will change your outlook on life....erm or death, if you are already dead! - don't just read it once, read it whenever your life needs a boost and who knows, you just may find yourself poking a monk or winning £25,0000! who knows what is round the corner!
Can't wait to see the film although I do wish it was Danny starring in it rather Jim Carey!!
My name is Cat, I should wear ...

But, to prove the point, he's the one that ends up happily married and on TV - and if that's not enough to make people want to say ...

Its very easy to say yes to everything when your backed up by an over inflated BBC salary, not funny, a couple of amusing situations, on the dance floor and waiting for the ferry in singapore. If id noticed that Davina Macall had said this man was a genius on the front cover I wouldn`t have purchased it(as she normally presents shows for those of an IQ lower than one). Its a poor read about an overpaid self pitying individual.
As much as I didnt like this book the underlying theme is really interesting ...
