Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Your Scandalous Ways - a Review
I adore Loretta Chase's books and was waiting in anticipation for the release of 'Your Scandalous Ways'. I was thrilled when it arrived and settled in for a delish read...

It was a huge dissapointment.

The two main protagonists were not upto her usual high standard of characterisation. Neither engaged my sympathies unlike all her other Alpha Males and their love interests.

The setting, Venice, a gorgeous city and such a joy to live in (which I have) however ... Read More

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Spying and romance in Venice
Loretta Chase wrote the wonderful 'Lord of Scoundrels' which was full of life, with great dialogue and original characters. She doesn't seem to have been able to write to the same level since but I had hopes of this book, with its Venetian setting and interesting characters.

It was a good book but, unfortunately, not as good as 'Lord of Scoundrels'. My main problem with the book was a complete inability to like the heroine, Francesca Bonnard, a high-class courtesan and divorcee. We learn ... Read More

Loretta Chase writes some of the best and most original historical romance around and I was looking forward to this new one... Sadly, for me, it does not quite match up to her past efforts.

However I still think its a better ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Witty and entertaining
Unlike one of the other reviewers, I found this book far from boring. On the contrary it was witty and entertaining in the interaction between the two principal characters, with entertaining secondary characters.

In England, Francesca Bonnard is a notorious, shunned divorcee; someone to be ignored and distanced by polite society and people who had been her friends. However in the more relaxed, less hypocritical atmosphere of Italy, Francesca is a feted top courtesan, able to command a high ... Read More

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Not as good as the others
I found the book somewhat boring! The usuall wit was not there although the characters were nice. Perhaps after Lord of scoundrell this book will not match up to expectations.
